Men's Singles & Doubles Night CompetitionAfter many requests for singles play in our open competitions, we are pleased to be launching new Men's Singles & Doubles comp. The competition is planned to run Monday / Thursday nights. We are currently taking expressions of interest, with the hope to commence a new season very soon.

Tennis Hot Shots is an exciting new tennis program for kids aged 11 and under. Using smaller courts, racquets and low compression balls the program makes learning tennis easy for new players. At the heart of Tennis Hot Shots is a fundamental approach learning. It's called "Learning Through Play" and it's based on developing skills in real situations that happen on a tennis court. This program allows children to develop technically and tactically in an environment that's always FUN and EXCITING.
Childen will:
* Have lots of fun and stay healthy * Develop skills and tactical awareness * Meet friends and build social skills * Have the opportunity to play in age appropriate competitions * Play with smaller equipment designed especially for kids * Easily progress to full-court tennis Our Tennis Hot Shots competition is for kids aged 11 years and under and involves playing Singles and Doubles every Monday and Thursday from 5:00pm - 6:30pm. Each session is $12.00 with no membership of registration fee.
Weekday Open Night Competitions
At
the Boroondara Tennis Centre we have competitions on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
and Thursday nights (doubles each night and singles on Thursday nightonly). Competitions
are all Open Mixed (any combination of men or ladies). Each competition endeavours
to contain 2 sections with teams of 5-6 players (4 play each week). There is a
nightly playing fee of $16.00 and no registration fees.
All matches
are played at the Boroondara Tennis Centre, with play commencing at 7pm. If you
are unable to commit to a whole season, we are always looking for emergencies
to fill in each week. Anyone interested should speak to Sam at the Centre.

The
Friday Junior Comp is designed as a social competition for juniors and is run
totally in-house, with all matches played at the Borondara Tennis Centre each
Friday night. The competition is suitable for juniors between about 9 and 16 years
old, and for standards from beginners to intermediate.
Format for sections 1, 2 and 3 : 2 players per team. Each player will play 1 singles
match (best of 3 sets - 3rd set tie break) & 1 doubles set (tie break) guaranteed
3 sets.
All Matches are played between 6 pm - 8pm friday. Fee: $ 16.00 fee per player. Enter your own team or enter on your own.

Thursday Junior Competition

The format and costs are to be similar to our Friday junior comp, with all matches played at the Boroondara Tennis Centre between 4:30 and 6:30pm Thursdays.
Anyone interested in either junior competition should speak to Daniel, Shane or Stuart at the Centre.

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday Morning Ladies Competitions
Have you been wanting to play tennis, get back into tennis after some time away, or perhaps just play tennis with minimum fuss? Are you having lessons and need a competition to practice all your new skills? Are you looking for a competition where all matches are played at the one venue? With CHILDCARE available on-site? Then look no further………..
The Boroondara Tennis Centre now runs three mornings of Lady's competitions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays beginning at 9.30am & finishing 12.00pm.
The format varies between days and depends on the numbers involved from season to season. There are no membership or registration fees. Cost per morning is $16.00 per person which includes court hire, balls and a coffee. Childcare is available on the premises Cost: $12.50 for first child for the morning $11.00 for second child. Childcare bookings are essential.
Anyone interested in our Ladies Competitions should speak to Kerrie at the Centre on 9850 4500 on Wednesday or Thursday mornings.

Ladies Social Doubles are held Monday and Thursday Nights from 7:00pm until 9:30pm. Players may enter individually or form their own team. Each team plays 3 sets of doubles with a new modified format. There is a nightly playing fee of $16.00 and no registration fees. All matches are played at the Boroondara Tennis Centre, with play commencing at 7pm. All abilities welcome.

Social Round Robins & Seniors Doubles
Social Round Robins are held every Friday Morning from 9:30am until 12:00 midday. Players are organised randomly into pairs on the day. Players are required to arrive at 9.15am, no booking or enrolment is required. Childcare is also available on Friday mornings although bookings are essential. The cost for Round Robins is $12.00 per player.
We are looking at starting a Monday Morning Round Robin of the same format. Please contact us at the Centre for further information and to express your interest.
Seniors Doubles are held Monday and Thursday Nights from 7:00pm until 9:30pm. Players may enter individually or form their own team. Each team plays 3 sets of doubles with a new modified format. There is a nightly playing fee of $16.00 and no membership or registration fees. Sausage sizzle held each night.
