The Boroondara Tennis Centre prides itself on offering the highest standard
of Tennis Coaching available, with more
programs, catering for more age groups and standards than ever before.
We
run both private and group coaching for players of all standards, starting
form 4 years of age. Our coaching program runs 7 days per week, with classes
in the mornings and after hours for adults, after school and weekends
for juniors, training squads for tournament and competition players every
weeknight and over a dozen coaches on staff.

The Boroondara Performance Programs will be back again in 2010!
Headed
by former AIS Head Coach John McCurdy, the new program will see
smaller, more intensive Talent Squads, created to suit players
in the Australian Ranking system, running in conjunction with our existing
Development Squads. To compliment these sessions we will now be
offering a number of Performance Options including High Performance
Fitness sessions, before-school morning squads, tournament scheduling
and training planning and educational seminars for players and parents.

Private Lesson Cancellation Policy
All
private tennis lessons who cancel without fair warning and without a reasonable
explanation will be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the lesson
cost. Therefore for a 30 minute lesson the cancellation fee is $17.50,
for a 45 minute lesson is $25.00 and for a 1 hour lesson is $35.00. The
cancellation fee must then be paid at the time of the following lesson.
Fair
warning for the cancellation of a lesson is as follows:
All Morning lessons: Notification must be given verbally to the
Centre reception or coach no later than 6:00 pm the day before the lesson.
All after school and evening lessons: Notification must be given
no later than 1.00 PM on the day of the lesson.
The
reason we feel it is necessary to introduce this policy is due to an increasing
number of late and last minute cancellations, which unfairly effect both
our coaches and the Centre. A cancellation at the last minute means a
coach is unable to reschedule or book in another lesson and the Centre
may not be able to hire out that court.
The
cancellation policy isn't intended as a penalty and will not be used against
clients who do the right thing, but rather it is being introduced to encourage
greater accountability and better communication between clients and the
Centre.
We
also feel this is something which should work both ways. So from the beginning
of term 2, if you have a private lesson booked, but your coach is unable
to take that lesson, if you do not receive fair warning of the cancellation
by the Centre you will only pay half price for your next lesson.
If
anyone has any questions about the policy or wants to discuss it further
please feel free to speak to us at the Centre.
