Mole Screen Skin Cancer Clinic

As Australians we are endangered by the harsh radiation from the sun. We currently have the highest incidence of skin melanoma in the world. Melanoma is the 5th most common cancer in Australia (after bowel, breast, prostate and lung cancer). It is the most common cancer to occur in men and women aged 15 - 44 years.

This aggressive cancer can be easily treated if it is found early enough. Unfortunately, some melanomas are hard to detect.

Mole Screen uses the SolarScan computer system which takes very high resolution digital images of skin lesions in controlled lighting conditions. The pictures are then magnified, stored and become available for comparison and analysis using specifically developed software.

As part of the MoleScreen service, your doctor can more accurately monitor early changes in size, Shape and colour of your skin lesion. The MoleScreen system examination is quick, painless and safe with the initial monitoring session only taking about 30 minutes.
